Shadowbox Shelves

My dad's nightstand took one for the team. And I took the drawers out of my dad's nightstand. They weren't really being used, so he let me have them!!!

The drawers were originally stained a dark brown. I wasn't really interested in stripping and repainting them, so I covered them in maps from (guess where) my dad's car! His road atlas is now missing the states he will likely never drive through.

I used mod-podge mixed with water. Then I painted the insides of the drawers yellow-ish.

Stack them up, and you've got yourself some shelves!

I like decorating with antique books, so that's what is mostly on mine.
