Merry Eve

the cheap antidote to paper and bows, neither of which i have.

if you find yourself still needing to wrap presents, i recommend this route. :)

Fire Screen

rarely do i see the light of day saturday mornings before 11. but one rare saturday i had the urge to go yard sale diving. it proved to be a very good choice, as i obtained a fire screen for 3, count them THREE DOLLARS. yes.
i backed the screen with fabric, and put it on my desk. i think it warms up my computer corner considerably. :)

just for a little extra fun, i tacked up a string of christmas lights behind the fire screen to back-light it. why not.

Dry Erase Board, $1

it's way easy. my favorite way to make this cool little gift is with dried leaves behind it.

so, it's way ok to write on glass with expo markers. so why not snag a frame from Dollar Tree, and do THIS!

Here's how I did the leaves behind it.....

grab some leaves from your yard, and stick them between paper towels.

don't worry about leaving them in the dictionary for 3 weeks!!!! that's silly. just microwave them. 10 seconds at a time, please! don't burn your house down.

i put my crispy little leaves behind some semi-translucent paper, and framed it up. perfect gift.

you can go the easy route and frame some fabric. this one's on my desk here at school. :)
